About the role

Uber is launching AV Labs to accelerate the autonomous technology ecosystem. The team turns real-world operations into high-quality data for autonomous partners, focused on long-tail driving data. You will be a software engineer in AV Labs involved in development and implementation of technology for self-driving stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Design the in-vehicle software infrastructure
  • Performance tuning
  • Build onboard over-the-air update stack
  • Build developer tools for robotics software development

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the software engineering industry
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering or related fields
  • Proficient in Python, C++ and Linux
  • Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)
  • Preferred: Master or PhD; experience with NVIDIA Drive OS

Benefits

  • Sunnyvale, CA base salary range listed on posting: USD $202,000 – $224,000 per year
  • Eligible for Uber bonus program; may be offered equity and other compensation
  • Full-time employees eligible for 401(k) and various benefits
