About the role
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve business targets for woven fabrics.
- Identify and develop new customers across apparel, home textile, industrial textile, furnishing, and institutional segments.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers to enhance business volumes and customer retention.
- Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings to understand market needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business plans, and territory-wise growth strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
- Handle customer inquiries, quotations, price negotiations, and order finalization.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns related to product quality, delivery, and service.
- Coordinate with customers regarding product developments, approvals, sample submissions, and bulk order execution.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic customers.
Market Intelligence & Product Promotion
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing structures, and emerging customer requirements.
- Provide market feedback to internal teams for new product development and business enhancement.
- Promote woven fabric products through presentations, exhibitions, customer visits, and industry events.
- Support branding and marketing initiatives in the domestic market.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Design, Merchandising, and Logistics teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
- Monitor order status and ensure customer commitments are met.
- Support collection and sample development activities based on market requirements.
Reporting & Commercial Management
- Track sales performance against targets and prepare periodic MIS reports.
- Monitor receivables and coordinate with finance teams for timely collections.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and commercial approvals.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, textile manufacturing processes, and domestic textile markets.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of textile applications, fabric constructions, and market segments.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and convert leads into orders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
